An out-of-state pedestrian struck by a truck in a crosswalk died from his injuries Friday night.
Charles Fehlig, 65, of Conway, S.C., was attempting to cross 8th St. SE at Virginia Ave. when he was hit by a 2003 Dodge truck. Emergency officials transported him to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The D.C. police department’s major crashes unit is investigating the accident.
