A large gap has developed between age groups when it comes to support for President Trump, as older Republicans approve of Trump at a much higher percentage than younger GOP members.
While over 61 percent of Republicans 45 and older strongly support Trump, only 42 percent of Republicans 18-44 feel the same, according to an Axios poll published Wednesday.
The lowest Trump approval group out of Republicans is young women. Only 37 percent approve of Trump’s work as president.
Even though it could be an issue that younger Republicans show less enthusiasm for Trump, traditionally older voters turn out in larger numbers to cast ballots.
