Trump promises ICE and all police: ‘The radical left Dems want you out… It will never happen!’

President Trump warned that if Democrats take power in Congress, they will abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency and then move on to getting rid of all police.

“The Democrats are making a strong push to abolish ICE, one of the smartest, toughest and most spirited law enforcement groups of men and women that I have ever seen,” Trump said in a tweet Saturday morning. “I have watched ICE liberate towns from the grasp of MS-13 & clean out the toughest of situations. They are great!”

In a follow-up message, Trump said, “To the great and brave men and women of ICE, do not worry or lose your spirit. You are doing a fantastic job of keeping us safe by eradicating the worst criminal elements. So brave! The radical left Dems want you out. Next it will be all police. Zero chance, It will never happen!”

Some Democrats have said in recent days that they would be in favor of dismantling ICE in light of the administration’s crack down on illegal immigration.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the young congressional candidate who won her New York district Democratic primary race in an upset last week, campaigned on abolishing ICE. Rep. Mark Pocan, D-Wisc., has also pushed the idea.
