The transcript of testimony from Alexander Vindman, the former National Security Council’s director for European affairs, included a redaction of a possible whistleblower’s name.
The House Intelligence Community released two transcripts from several closed-door impeachment hearings, including those of former Ambassador Bill Taylor and Vindman.
Vindman’s testimony was released Friday, two days after Taylor’s testimony became public.
In Vindman’s transcript, he was asked if a certain individual was a whistleblower, but the name mentioned was redacted.
In Taylor’s testimony, however, the name Eric Ciaramella was included.

Ciaramella was identified by a report from RealClearInvestigations as the whistleblower. The 33-year-old career CIA analyst worked under several Obama administration officials when he was the Ukraine director on the NSC.
The Washington Examiner reported on Nov. 6 that Ciaramella now works as a deputy national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia on the National Intelligence Council.
Taylor denied knowing Ciaramella after being asked if his name rang a bell.
It has still not been confirmed whether Ciaramella is the whistleblower, but his ties to Joe Biden have concerned some.
The Washington Examiner reported that Ciaramella was a special guest of Biden’s at a 2016 State Department dinner.
President Trump has responded to claims that Ciaramella is the whistleblower, calling him a “radical” with “no credibility.”
