TALLAHASEE, Fla. (AP) — Two Florida State students have been chosen to participate in a meeting with Nobel laureates in Germany to discuss economic sciences.
Graduate students Alice Crisp, 25, and Robert White, 26, are two of 450 selected from an international pool of thousands that applied. The 5th Lindau Meeting on Economic Sciences will be held in Lindau, Germany from August 19-23.
FSU Department of Economics Chair Mark Isaac called their selection a prestigious honor for the department and, “the breadth of interests and Nobel Prize-winning contributions of the participating laureates … is truly stunning.”

The conference goal is to facilitate interaction between the scientific elite and up-and-comers. The world economic and financial crisis is expected to be a primary topic along with the central banking system and international free trade.
