Former NCAA women’s swimmer Riley Gaines has a new venture coming out on Thursday.
Gaines will be releasing her first children’s book, Happy No Snakes Day, to teach children about “the importance of standing up for the truth.”
The 12-time All-American competitive swimmer joins the growing roster of book authors at the up-and-coming conservative Christian book company Brave Books.
“I’m so excited to have Riley Gaines, a bold voice of clarity in a sea of confusion, join the BRAVE Books family as our newest author,” Brave Books founder Trent Talbot told the Washington Examiner.

“Through a hilarious and thrilling adventure, Riley’s devoted passion for the truth is undeniably depicted in Happy No Snakes Day,” Talbot added. “We can’t wait for Brave families to enjoy this book as much as we did working with Riley to create it.”
Brave Books’s expanding author list includes actor Kirk Cameron, former White House press secretary Sean Spicer, actor Kevin Sorbo, journalist John Solomon, Dr. Nicole Saphier, and social media influencer Libs of TikTok’s Chaya Raichik.
Gaines rose to fame after competing at the 2022 NCAA Championships against Lia Thomas, a biological man who identifies as a woman. Gaines became a leading defender of women’s single-sex spaces, advocating equality and fairness and standing up for women’s safety, privacy, and equal opportunities in sports.
She has been a fearless speaker on women’s rights in sports and was attacked by a mob on a college campus last year for speaking out about transgender athletes in women’s sports.

The former Kentucky collegiate athlete went viral in recent testimony before the House Oversight Committee when Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) accused her of being transphobic and Gaines clapped back, accusing her of misogyny.
She has also been involved with the news outlet Outkick and nonprofit advocacy organizations, including the Independent Women’s Forum and the Leadership Institute.
