An elementary school teacher in Minnesota has been charged with multiple felonies of criminal sexual conduct involving several of his students.
Roger Ebnet, 59, has been charged with three felony counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, according to court documents. Jail records state that he was taken into custody on Friday, according to KSTP.
“The Benson School District is aware of the pending criminal charges regarding Roger Ebnet, an employee of the School District. The School District takes the safety and security of our students very seriously and has been cooperating and will continue to cooperate fully with law enforcement in its investigation. Mr. Ebnet is currently on paid administrative leave,” the district said.

A video recording from Thursday showed Ebnet with three different boys between the ages of 7 and 8 seated between his legs, according to the criminal complaint.
“Roger Ebnet places the boy’s hands behind the child’s bottom and in front of his groin area,” the complaint reads. “Roger Ebnet continues to squeeze his thighs and make upward movements with his groin towards the child’s bottom.”
The complaint also claims that another video recorded on Wednesday shows Ebnet practicing similar behavior with another child. Ebnet was the teacher of all the children in the videos, and the children were under “the direct supervision of Roger Ebnet,” according to the complaint.

Court records indicate Ebnet made his first appearance on Monday, and a judge set his bail at $200,000 without conditions or $25,000 with conditions. The conditions would include GPS monitoring, no contact with the children, and staying away from both the children’s homes and Benson Public School properties.
