NEW YORK (AP) — Strong winds overnight knocked out electricity for some residents of Staten Island.
In the Lower Hudson Valley, downed trees and branches caused some road closures.
More than 1,000 Staten Island homes were without power at the height of the storm. Nearly all power was restored by Wednesday morning.
Staten Island Advance says the largest outage was in the Bay Terrace area.
The Journal News says downed trees are causing the following road closures:
Route 118 at Mohawk Lane in Somers.
Route 35 in both directions at Route 124 in Lewisboro.
The right lane and shoulder of Route 120 northbound west of Route 117 in New Castle.
Earlier closures on the Cross County Parkway in Westchester and the Palisades Interstate Parkway in Rockland have been cleared.
