Former 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton took the opportunity of the highly anticipated solar eclipse to send out a social media post designed to mock former President Donald Trump.

“Reminder,” Clinton wrote in a post on Monday that showed a 2017 photo of the former president momentarily looking up at the last solar eclipse without protective glasses.

Her social media post included a 2020 post advising people to “not take medical advice from a man who looked directly at a solar eclipse.”

Her March 2020 social post was amid the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Clinton restricted the responses to her Monday post to only people whom she follows or are mentioned.

Despite her trying to tamp down on criticism, social media users fired back by reposting the message on their accounts with posts mocking the former first lady.

“Reminder: you lost to this guy,” one person said.

“Apparently she’s still salty about losing to him in 2016,” another person said on social media.

Another social media user added, “Why in the heck would anyone take any advice from this woman?”
