Vice President Kamala Harris is speaking about abortion at a campaign event in Florida as a six-week abortion ban goes into effect in the Sunshine State.
Harris is expected to speak at 2:45 p.m. in Jacksonville, Florida.

Voters in the Sunshine State will decide on a ballot measure in November that could enshrine abortion into the Florida Constitution, but it would need 60% of the vote to pass. President Joe Biden and Harris’s campaign has said it intends to make a play for Florida despite the state making a sharp rightward shift in recent elections.
