Trump: There’s something about Barry

Donald Trump likes something about President Obama, but it’s “hard to define” what it is.

“There’s something about him I do like. I’m embarrassed to admit it,” Trump said during an interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd. He mentioned that Obama became a two-term president and that Obama’s “got some quality going,” but he didn’t elaborate.

The praise comes even as Trump has criticized the president through this election season. Earlier this month Trump tweeted that Obama “doesn’t have a clue.”

Trump said he thought that Obama gave a good speech at the Democratic convention, but “not nearly as good as the press would have you believe.” During the speech, the president sarcastically called the GOP nominee not a “facts guy,” during a wide-ranging interview with New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.

“Whether it’s good or bad, the press will say it’s fantastic,” Trump told Dowd.
