‘Overlord’

What could be more evil, more black-hearted than a human resource simulator?

In “Overlord,” you play an ancient evil awoken from years of slumber. Manic goblinoid minions scurry around and help you to become the evil ruler of everything.

The Minion Master narrates as you go out into a fantasy world that looks like a twisted version of Tolkien’s Middle-earth.

The Overlord is an armor-clad destroyer-of-things who — oddly enough — should be kept out of direct combat as much as possible.

Your real power comes through your minions, who you control as a crowd as they tear through enemies and sacrifice themselves for your safety. From a unicorn’s horn wielded as a dagger to a small pumpkin worn as a helmet, minions will pick up anything they come across to enhance their effectiveness in battle.

It looks a bit like “Fable” but plays like something very different. Perfect for anyone who likes to choose the dark side.
