Committee devises plan for next Snowmageddon

A committee assigned to devise a way of dealing with regional weather emergencies will present its new plans to the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments board Wednesday.

The committee, appointed after the Jan. 26 “Snowmageddon” snowstorm, includes officials from Metro, the federal government, local governments, the Red Cross and electric utilities.

Chairman Phil Andrews will present the findings at the council’s meeting Wednesday at 12:25 p.m. at 777 N. Capitol St. NE.
