Prince George’s police are investigating two homicides that occurred within a few hours of each other late Friday and early Saturday.

Police said three men were shot multiple times in the 5600 block of Nicholson Street in Hyattsville around 11:55 p.m. Friday. The men, who were Hispanic, were taken to Prince George’s Hospital where one of them, who has not been identified, later died, Cpl. Stephen Pacheco said.

The two other men, who police said have also not been identified, remained in critical condition Sunday.

Around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a second report of a shooting in a parking lot at the 5700 block of Eagle Street, in Seat Pleasant. Upon arrival, police found Jazmin Jamal Robinson dead of multiple gunshot wounds. Police have not released his address.

Police do not believe the shootings were connected.

“They were random,” Pacheco said.

Police said they do not have any suspects and are still trying to establish motive in both shootings.

Anyone with information about either shooting is asked to call the police Homicide Unit at 301-772-4925 or Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in each incident.
