What: Secured more than $50 million in earmarks to affiliates of Kuchera Defense Systems, which has now been barred from receiving further government contracts by the Navy as a consequence of allegedly offering kickbacks to another federal contractor.
Why it’s an outrage: At a time when we’re in a recession and it’s clear that we’re still vulnerable to terrorist attacks, money shouldn’t be wasted on fraud.
