Music miscue: ‘Addicted to Love’ for Bubba

The stage band at the Democratic Convention has been rocking the house pretty well with covers of Motown and R&B hits, but they made the wrong song selection Wednesday. After Bill Clinton’s speech, the band broke out with the 1987 Robert Palmer hit “Addicted to Love.” The singer got through juicy lines like “There’s no doubt, you’re in heat” before abruptly breaking off mid-note.
