MSNBC host Chris Hayes and CNN anchor Jake Tapper questioned the reliability of the transcript of a phone call President Trump made with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, ahead of its expected Wednesday release.
“Given what we know about how Trump pressures and manipulates civil servants to tow his line, I’m not *quite* sure we can trust the transcript itself as being accurate/comprehensive,” Hayes tweeted Tuesday.

Tapper likewise floated the idea that the White House will falsify the transcript, reminding his viewers that the president recently drew with a Sharpie on a hurricane map.
Trump announced Tuesday he plans to release the transcript of the call Wednesday.
….You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. No pressure and, unlike Joe Biden and his son, NO quid pro quo! This is nothing more than a continuation of the Greatest and most Destructive Witch Hunt of all time!

The controversy over the call came after an anonymous whistleblower from the intelligence community filed a complaint reportedly claiming Trump tried to pressure the Ukrainian president to investigate whether former Vice President Joe Biden got Ukraine’s top prosecutor fired for investigating his son, Hunter.
