Keller Williams is literally a one-man traveling band.
Performing almost exclusively as a solo act for 15 years, the Virginia native plays acoustic ten-sting guitar, drums and other rare instruments that allow him to create his folk sound. However, his progressive and inventive guitar sounds are his calling card, which he creates with an array of pedals and audio devices.
Williams returns to Rams Head Live and performs with The Keels, a husband-and-wife bluegrass duo.
Williams is set to release his 11th album, titled “Dream,” which hits shelves Tuesday. Bob Weir (of the Grateful Dead), Bela Fleck, The String Cheese Incident, Bobby Read, Charlie Hunter and others are featured on the new release.
“All 16 songs on the album have been road tested for the past two years,” he continued. However, coordinating talent and time made the project take more than three years before an album was made.
“This album is something I hope to listen to when I am old so I can say ?I did that,? ” Williams said.
