CENTRAL ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) — An architect who designed homes for celebrities in Long Island’s Hamptons has been sentenced following his conviction on child pornography charges.

Jay Lockett Sears of East Moriches (mor-IHCH’-uhz) pleaded guilty last September to federal charges of possessing child pornography.

He was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court in Central Islip to six months home confinement and 5 years supervised release. He also received credit for being incarcerated for the past three weeks.

Prosecutors say Sears took photographs of children in public settings. He then used a computer program to attach their faces to photos of himself and other adults appearing to be engaging in sex.

The images were found in a trash container outside his apartment.

Sears has reportedly designed homes for Michael J. Fox, Susan Lucci and Clint Eastwood.
