On the assumption that the Democrats are headed for the White House after the balloting is completed next November, at about three weeks into Clinton Administration II, a lot of people are going to be wondering about the 2012 race.

If the GOP is to survive and be rebuilt as the principal political tool for advancing conservative reform in American public policy, this Bush has a great deal of practical wisdom to offer that deserves serious reflection even now.
