Montgomery County parks go bilingual

As the number of native Spanish speakers rises in Montgomery, the county wants to make sure they’re understanding what’s available for them at the 410 area parks. Kate Stookey, the head of public affairs and community partnerships for the county parks, says pamphlets and park signs are now in English and Spanish. “Our immigrant population is growing and we have to reflect that,” Stookey told a county council committee on Tuesday.
