Cards Against Humanity claims it purchased land along US-Mexico border to block Trump’s wall

The company behind the popular game Cards Against Humanity claims to have purchased a plot of vacant land along the U.S. border with Mexico in an effort to stop President Trump from building the border wall.

“Donald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans. He is so afraid that he wants to build a $20 billion wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing,” the company said on a newly launched website. “So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built.”

The effort is part of Cards Against Humanity’s holiday promotion, Cards Against Humanity Saves America. The marketing campaign encourages people to pay $15 in return for six “surprises” sent throughout the month of December.

It’s unclear where the land Cards Against Humanity claims to have purchased is, but participants who paid the $15 will receive an illustrated map of the plot along the border as well as a certificate stating the company’s promise to fight Trump’s border wall.

“It’s 2017, and the government is being run by a toilet. We have no choice: Cards Against Humanity is going to save America,” the website states. “There’s no time for questions — now is the time to act. You give us $15, and we’ll send six America-saving surprises right to your doorstep. It will be fun, it will be weird, and if you voted for Trump, you might want to sit this one out.”

Cards Against Humanity says it is saving America from “injustice, lies, racism, the whole enchilada.”
