Diamond and Silk wonder if split from Fox was result of ‘systemic racism’

Diamond and Silk, the Trump-supporting internet celebrities and sisters, suggested that their separation from Fox News could be the result of “systemic racism.”

Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson question why the network distanced itself from the duo in April after they promoted coronavirus conspiracy theories when they say others at the network did the same and were not disciplined for it. The pair, who appeared on Fox News and were producing content weekly for the network’s streaming service Fox Nation, broach the subject in their new book, Uprising: Who the Hell Said You Can’t Ditch and Switch?, which is scheduled to be released later this week.

“Here is the crazy thing, y’all,” Silk writes in the book, according to the Daily Beast. “Fox News hosts like Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and Laura Ingraham were questioning the same things we were questioning about the virus and pandemic. The very same questions we had raised were being discussed openly on Fox News. Why were our Fox Nation videos dialed back because they were deemed overly political, but it was OK for others on the network to talk about politics, even down to asking some of the same questions we had? … When you really think about it, was this part of the systemic racism that everybody was talking about?”

Diamond echoed Silk’s comments, asking, “How in the hell was it OK for the white show host to ask the same questions and talk about the same things that we were speaking about, but our video content was dialed back for being overly political? We were all asking the same questions and talking about the same thing.”

The Washington Examiner reached out to Fox News for comment.

The duo, prior to splitting from Fox Nation, said in a video for the online platform that there might be “a little Deep State action going on behind” the coronavirus, and they speculated that the death count was “inflated” to harm President Trump.

Diamond and Silk agreed to a deal with Newsmax earlier this month.
