Though it seems nothing could be bigger than 20,000 spectators and a Boeing 757 jetliner, the Dulles Day Plane Pull is aiming bigger this year. Since 1993, Washington Dulles International Airport has raised more than $1.1 million for Special Olympics Virginia with its plane pull event. Last year, more than 20,000 people came out to see teams take on the Boeing. On Saturday, more than 60 teams of 25 people each will tug an 82-ton FedEx Airbus 12 feet. The Airbus weighs 27 tons more than last year’s jet. The event also includes a kids’ school bus pull, moon bounces, a dunk tank and pizza eating contest.
