Spicing up his arrest record

A Pennsylvania man called police because his marijuana tasted “nasty,” reports the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The 21-year-old man reported that he had just bought a small amount of pot, but the taste turned him off, so he called police to check it for him.

Officers arrived and found the green, leafy substance laid out on a paper on a table.

A field test kit showed that it wasn’t marijuana, and was more likely oregano. The caller was not immediately arrested, but police said he could be charged with possession of a look-alike drug.

Digging a heel in

If you’re going to rob a prostitute, it’s best not to target 6-foot-3, 280-pound transvestite Joshua Bumpus, even if Bumpus is wearing a pink halter top and pumps.

But that’s what a Cincinnati teenager did. The two men went into a nearby alley and the teen pulled a gun.

The two fought, and the teen fired his gun, striking Bumpus in the arm. Still, Bumpus continued fighting — and won.

“He beat the [daylights] out of him,” prosecutor Ryan Nelson told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “The cops showed up during the beatdown. The cops said it was one of their more memorable arrests of their lives.”

The teen was charged with felonious assault.

Not amused park

A Pennsylvania man was charged with lashing a 2-year-old boy to a bench at an amusement park while he went looking for two other children he was supposedly supervising.

Police said the boy was tied to a Dorney Park bench for 40 minutes and left with his 7-year-old brother.

The 7-year-old told police that “Uncle Clifford” took them to the park. Clifford Adams told police he was looking for two 9-year-olds he was also supervising.

Proof that day care is getting too expensive

Police are investigating a Wisconsin man who allegedly took children to a dominatrix sex party.

A woman contacted police after finding a videotape featuring her 29-year-old ex-boyfriend in a dungeon- or castle-themed suite. The video featured three women whipping two men in a sexual manner.

When the camera panned over, it revealed two young children in the background. The children were not involved in the acts.
