PALOS HILLS, Ill. (AP) — A federal official says a small has crashed in a Chicago suburb.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the twin-engine Beechcraft Baron crashed in Palos Hills around 10:40 p.m.
Lunsford says he has no information about the condition of the pilot or any passengers. The Chicago Sun-Times, citing the Cook County Medical Examiner, says at least one person died in the crash.
Lunsford says in a news release sent early Monday that the aircraft took off from Chicago Midway Airport shortly before the crash happened.
The police and fire departments in Palos Hills did not immediately respond to messages seeking details.
