Conservative radio host Mark Levin said President Trump’s response to the Iranian attack in Iraq was a victory that will infuriate Democrats.
“Thanks to the president’s strategic actions, and the Trump Doctrine, for the first time since the Reagan administration, Iran has lost and we have won. No doubt this infuriates the Democrats and the Democrat Party-press, which has been trashing the president for days,” Levin tweeted Wednesday.
“The president also announced that there will be even more economic sanctions on the Iranian regime, and NATO will be more active in addressing any future Iranian military or terrorist actions against our country and fellow countrymen,” he continued.

Trump addressed the nation Wednesday morning following an Iranian attack on two U.S. military bases and said the days of Iran “destabilizing the Middle East” are “over.”
Other conservative figures echoed Levin’s praise. Republican Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw tweeted, “Judging from Iran’s statement ‘not seeking escalation ‘ & Trump’s tactical patience after last night’s inconsequential missile attacks, it appears that a strategy of peace through strength is working.”

Doesn’t mean the road ahead is easy, but US leverage is vastly improved.

Several Democratic politicians criticized the president’s Iran strategy, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who tweeted shortly after the attack that the president’s “needless” provocations were to blame for the violence.
“Closely monitoring the situation following bombings targeting U.S. troops in Iraq. We must ensure the safety of our servicemembers, including ending needless provocations from the Administration and demanding that Iran cease its violence. America & world cannot afford war,” Pelosi said.
