Who: Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont. What: The senator’s campaign, upset over an attack ad, sent out a fundraising letter that accused the Concerned Women for America of lobbying in favor of child pornographers. “[H]ere’s an interesting fact: this same special interest group attacking Jon right now also lobbied Congress against child pornography protection,” the campaign wrote.
Why It’s Dim: Tester had every reason to dislike the “spenditol” spoof ad CWA ran against him, but he should know that CWA is one of the leading anti-pornography advocacy groups in America.
Cure: Whatever he’s doing with his campaign money, maybe Tester should “spenditol” on a new staff.
