Construction of the Metro rail line to Dulles International Airport and the Beltway HOT lanes will mean some major overnight road closings next week, including full closures of sections of the Dulles Toll Road, Dulles Access Road and the Beltway.
Detours will be provided, but drivers trying to navigate Northern Virginia between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. should watch for the following overnight closures:
- Interstate 495 north and south from the George Washington Parkway to Exit 44, Georgetown Pike: Multiple lanes closed Friday and Saturday nights.
- I-495 north to Exit 45A, Dulles Toll Road (Route 267): Ramp closed Monday through Friday nights.
- Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) east to I-495 north: Ramp closed Monday through Friday nights
- Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) west at I-495: Road closed Monday through Friday nights.
- Dulles Access Highway at I-495: Road closed Wednesday through Thursday, and eastbound closed Monday and Tuesday.
- Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) at I-495: Single lane closed in both directions Sunday through Friday. Ramp from northbound to I-495 south closed Tuesday night. Ramp from southbound to I-495 north closed Sunday.
