Two men were arrested Saturday for the 2009 murders of 15-year-old Davonta Artis and 18-year-old Daquarn Tibbs.

Police arrested 20-year-old Antonio Russell Barnes and 19-year-old Earl Timothy Jackson Jr., both of Northeast D.C., and charged them with first degree murder while armed.

Artis and Tibbs, of Northeast and Southeast D.C. respectively, were among five youths shot Oct. 13, 2009 on the 5300 block of Clay Terrace NE. Three others were injured.

Police caught Barnes and Jackson after the case aired on America’s Most Wanted Jan. 6.
