HELOTES, Texas (AP) — A suspect in a 2012 attack at a South Texas park that left a woman dead and her girlfriend hurt has been captured near San Antonio.
The San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday said 27-year-old David Malcom Strickland faces transfer to the jail in Sinton.
Officers on Friday arrested Strickland at an apartment in Helotes (hel-OH’-tis), 10 miles northwest of San Antonio. Strickland faces warrants for capital murder, aggravated assault with a weapon and aggravated sexual assault.
