Howard County Executive-elect Ken Ulman has named a nine-member transition team to reach out to the community as it helps guide the new administration.
“This is going to be a very transparent process,” Democrat Ulman said.
The team from a diverse backgrounds, from public health to education to business, will reach out to community leaders in issue areas, such as public safety, land use and housing, andmeet with the county?s current department heads, he said.
The group will generate a series of reports and hold public meetings outlining the details of its efforts.
Democratic Council Member Guy Guzzone, who was elected to serve as a delegate for District 12B, was chosen to the lead the team.
“This is going to be a pretty easy job,” and “one of the smoothest transitions,” thanks to County Executive James Robey?s work, Guzzone said.
Robey, who will serve as the state senator for District 13, offered Ulman support and advice in his new role.
“We have positioned Howard County to move forward and face the future and the issues head on,” Robey said.
