In social media posts, group announced a “General Strike: A day without a woman.”
However, the date and other details about the strike have not yet been revealed. Organizers of the group who planned the January 21 march did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
The march, which took place the day after President Trump’s inauguration, was originally planned for Washington, D.C.
It grew to protests across the United Staes and dozens of other countries, with the worldwide participation estimated to be roughly 5 million people across all seven continents. At least 500,000 people showed up the Washington March.
Following the march, the organizers released a “10 actions for the first 100 days” campaign to expand upon the momentum of the protest.
However, organizers specifically said they were “not targeting Trump specifically,” but rather called it the march a nonpartisan opportunity for people to “stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families — recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.”
