‘God’ in your carry-on

Existing as both a prequel and a source of supplementary information about the second and third “God of War” titles, “Chains of Olympus” is an amazing translation of PS2 gameplay onto Sony’s handheld system.

It seems as if nothing was lost in the miniaturization of Sony’s hit franchise. The graphics are easily the best on the PSP and the controls seem to be the same as they were on the PS2, save for some efficient uses of overlapping L and R button controls.

The scope of the world and the backgrounds are more massive and breathtaking than you might think possible on the PSP. The only negative about this title is the lack of the series’ gigantic foes. The only super-sized boss fight is at the end of the first level.
