President Trump Sunday tweeted a video touting his administration’s response to Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico but couldn’t resist taking a shot at his critics in the process.
“Nobody could have done what I’ve done for #PuertoRico with so little appreciation. So much work!” Trump tweeted.
Trump has been criticized for his administration’s lack of urgency in responding to the humanitarian crisis on the island, where more than half of residents don’t have clean drinking water and millions don’t have power.
Trump also received criticism for some of his comments while on the island, including a joke that Puerto Rico’s crisis was harming the federal budget. He was also recorded flinging rolls of paper towels into a crowd as if he was shooting basketballs.
