Conservatives talk up Marianne Williamson in 2020 debate

A number of conservative pundits talked up for 2020 presidential long-shot Marianne Williamson during Tuesday night’s debate.

Williamson, Oprah Winfrey’s spiritual adviser, is one of many candidates polling around 1%. But she has gained notoriety — and social media traction — by her idiosyncratic answers. In Detroit, she was not afraid to attack the other candidates on the stage with her.

The 67-year-old slammed the other candidates for taking “tens of thousands and in some cases, hundreds of thousands of dollars” from corporate donors, arguing that they now think they “have the moral authority to say we’re going to take them on.”

“The issue of gun safety, of course, is the NRA has us in a choke hold, the pharmaceutical companies, the health insurance companies, so do the fossil fuel companies, and so do the defense contractors,” Williamson later stated.

She also accused Trump of being a “dark psychic force.”

A number of conservatives praised her performance, and one or two seemed a little smitten.
