Montgomery County emergency officials pulled a body from the Potomac River early Saturday morning, according to police.
A boater noticed the body in the water near Edwards Ferry in Poolesville about 8 a.m. Saturday morning, police said. It was not immediately clear if the deceased was a man or a woman.
The body has been sent to the medical examiner’s office to be identified.
It’s the second body found by officials in the Potomac River near Poolesville in the last two weeks. Boaters found a body near White’s Ferry, just north of Edwards Ferry, on July 28.
