A 36-year-old parking attendant was sentenced to 38 months in prison for hiding under a woman’s bed for two days and videotaping her and her husband in intimate acts.

The victim, Michelle Fredenberg-Onion, told the court, “It was a horrible experience, and has altered my life hugely. I do not want this to happen to anyone else — it’s horrible.”

Fredenberg-Onion is director of Physical Therapy at Holy Cross in Silver Spring. Carlo Castellanos-Feria was a parking attendant at the hospital.

Castellanos-Feria made copies of her keys to enter her apartment on Nov. 25, 2005. He set up a video camera on her desk before hiding underneath the bed, where he was found by her husband on the morning of Nov. 27.

Beside the video camera, Castellanos-Feria had packed a change of clothes, latex gloves and seven unused condoms. There was evidence he masturbated while underneath her bed.

During the two days, the victims went about their daily lives unaware he was there and that they were being filmed.

Prosecutor Kari S. Berta pushed for a longer sentence, noting the highly erotic nature of the crime.
