PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — The price at the pump in Rhode Island has fallen by a nickel.
The latest price survey from AAA Southern New England finds that a gallon of self-serve regular is averaging $3.68 in the state, down from $3.73 last week.

Prices have fallen 10 cents in the past month. But the current price locally is nine cents more than the national per-gallon average of $3.59.
Rhode Islanders were paying an average of $3.96 a gallon a year ago.
