Trump to leave Walter Reed on Monday evening

President Trump will be leaving Walter Reed Medical facility on Monday evening.

“I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good!” the president announced on social media hours before his scheduled departure.

The president also encouraged his followers not to be “afraid of Covid,” saying, “Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge. I feel better than I did 20 years ago!”

The president was diagnosed with COVID-19 last Thursday, which he announced publicly in the early hours of Friday morning. He was then transported to Walter Reed hospital on Friday after showing “mild symptoms” that ultimately got worse. While in the hospital, he has been given a dose of remdesivir. The president was being treated with an experimental polyclonal antibody cocktail and was taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin, and a daily aspirin.

Trump’s health during his time at Walter Reed has been questioned given there were mixed messages coming from the president’s physicians and the White House.
