Clinton ally David Brock offered a $5 million reward to anyone who hands over President Trump’s “complete” and “legally obtained” tax returns.
“More questions than answers tonight,” Brock tweeted as Rachel Maddow discussed the president’s 2005 tax return on her MSNBC show Tuesday.

An unverified copy of Trump’s personal income tax return from 2005 was leaked to the media. The return shows that he paid $5.3 million in federal income tax and $31 million in alternative minimum tax off a $150 million income that year.
After Maddow teased the tax return’s release on her upcoming show, the White House released a statement slamming the media.
“Despite his substantial income figure and tax paid, it is totally illegal to steal and publish tax returns. The dishonest media can continue to make this part of their agenda, while the President will focus on his, which includes tax reform that will benefit all Americans,” the statement read.
Brock also called for the release of Trump’s tax returns during the presidential campaign. He had claimed to have lined up a donor who promised to give $5 million to a veterans charity if Trump released the documents.
Correct the Record, a super PAC founded by Brock, also offered to pay for dirt on Trump.
