Halle Berry doesn’t seem to be half as sad about her split from Gabriel Aubry as we are. While we were still reeling from the realization that the world’s two most beautiful people will not be making any more babies together, the Oscar-winning actress was all smiles at a charity event.
“I can’t tell you how happy I am to be here,” Halle told the crowd at a breast cancer benefit run/walk Saturday in NYC. Though she skipped the red carpet (they have red carpets for runs now?), presumably to avoid questions about her breakup from her model beau, Halle was in high spirits as she co-hosted the event, according to People magazine.
Playing Hooky?
Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer insistsed that, contrary to reports, the actress hasn’t violated her probation and isn’t facing jail time. TMZ claimed that the troubled starlet missed alcohol treatment classes, a condition of her DUI probation, and consequently was almost sure to land in the slammer.
Though the program she attends has not reported her MIA, said the paparazzi website, her habit of skipping classes defied the terms a judge had set — weekly classes are mandatory unless she’s in inpatient rehab.
“Though there have been occasional weeks when Lindsay has missed her alcohol treatment class, she has always managed to make up the class the following week by attending two classes,” her attorney said in a statement.
‘Party Animals’
Is Kristin Cavallari using drugs? Her lawyer denies it, but Us magazine reported that inside sources claim the “Hills” star is out of control.
During the recent Coachella music festival, the reality TV star “was drinking and partying,” an acquaintance told the tabloid. “I saw her do a line of cocaine.
“The dudes she hangs out with are all party promoters — and they’re party animals.”
Another source said, “She’s been sucked into the Hollywood scene. She’s surrounded by the leeches who enable her.”
Paris Rebounds
Just a couple weeks after confirming her (second) split from beau Doug Reinhardt, Paris Hilton is coyly almost confirming that she’s rebounded back into the arms of ex Jason Shaw.
Though the heir-head insisted to Ellen DeGeneres that “I’m just enjoying being single” and “I swear I haven’t gone on any dates,” she said, when pressed, “I had one … last week.”
And yes, his name was Jason.
“I love him so much,” Paris said. “We’re very close and I’ve known him a very long time.”
As for Doug, she said, “I’m better off without him. He wasn’t right for me, and I will eventually find somebody who loves me for who I am.”
Wow. That much perspective only two weeks after a breakup? She’s either really wise or really shallow. You be the judge.
