Another Warning Label?

I couldn’t resist drawing this idea when it came to me. The concept of putting warning labels on fat people is so ludicrous that it made me snort like a doofus when I thought of how I would draw it. But even though it’s a funny image, there’s a message behind this cartoon.

What will be next? Will Americans go to restaurants and have the hostess ask, “Which section would you like: obese or non-obese?” With all the smoking and trans-fat bans popping up nowadays, we don’t seem that far off from it. People shouldn’t worry too much about “catching the fat bug” from overweight buddies. If you feel the urge to splurge when your friend orders that triple-chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and double quarter-pound cheeseburger, don’t blame them. You can always order a salad. (Though, usually, that milkshake is far too tempting for me to pass up!)
