A man was found unconscious on a porch in Capitol Hill this weekend, and police are investigating the incident as an aggravated assault.
About 8:30 a.m. Saturday, police went to the 700 block of North Carolina Avenue SE and found 29-year-old Thomas “T.C.” Maslin unconscious on the front porch of someone else’s home. He was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
A medical examination found that the victim may have been assaulted, police spokesman Officer Anthony Clay said. A police spokesman told The Washington Post that doctors found that Maslin had been struck on the head with an object
According to media reports, Maslin had gone to a Washington Nationals game Friday night and then went to a bar on Pennsylvania SE. He reportedly knocked on homes’ doors before he collapsed.
Maslin’s wife, Abby, is a teacher at Brent Elementary School in Capitol Hill, and the couple reportedly lives in the neighborhood.
