Man shot to death in Southeast
Police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one man dead in Southeast D.C.
Police responding to a call about a possible shooting found 22-year-old Andre Jackson at 2:14 a.m. Sunday on the 300 block of Ridge Road SE. He had been shot multiple times and was unconscious and not breathing.
No information on a possible suspect was released.SClB
Search continues for missing Alexandria man
Fairfax County Police continued their search for a missing Alexandria man on Sunday.
Multiple search and rescue teams — made up of police officials, volunteers and search dogs — looked in Huntley Meadows Park for 64-year-old Mohammad Yazdani, who was last seen leaving his home in the Mount Vernon area on Oct. 24.
Police say Yazdani, who has Alzheimer’s disease and speaks limited English, is 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, gray sweatpants and blue shoes.SClB
Man stabbed in Southeast
A man was stabbed in Southeast D.C. on Saturday night.
Police say the victim was transported to a local hospital after being attacked at about 9:05 p.m. on the 4000 block of Ames Street NE.
The suspect, a 5-foot-8, 155-pound black male, was last seen wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans. He fled the scene after the stabbing, police said.
Neither the condition nor the identity of the victim were released.
