Female American University students have reported being fondled near campus, officials said.
The four incidents started last week and were all reported to university public safety officials Monday. They occurred in the late evening or early morning hours while the students were walking along Massachusetts Avenue NW between the Berkshire Apartments and the main campus.
A man approached the students from behind and grabbed each victims’ backsides. In one instance he also grabbed the victim’s chest, university officials said.
The suspect has been described as a white male in his 20s, 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-10. He has been seen wearing blue jeans, a navy-blue sweatshirt and a dark blue hoodie.
