The YMCA Prince George’s County will be closed today following a fire.
Firefighters went to the YMCA, located in the 3500 block of Moylan Drive, at about 4 a.m. today. They found a fire that had started in roofing materials located on the side of the building and spread to the roofline. Prince George’s County Fire/EMS spokesman Mark Brady said that most of the fire was outside of the building. There was no one inside the building and no injuries were reported. Fire loss is estimated at $50,000, Brady said.
The fire’s cause is under investigation.
