Two men have been wounded in a shooting in Annapolis, authorities said.
The incident took place at about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, according to Annapolis police and fire officials. One victim, a 22-year-old man, was found on Medgar Evers Street and was shot in the head, back and buttock. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The other victim, a 27-year-old man, was found nearby on President Street shot in the back. He was taken to a hospital and has been released.
A gas meter at a townhouse on Medgar Evers Street was hit by a bullet and was leaking, Annapolis Fire Department spokesman Battalion Chief John Menassa said. The gas line at the home was shut off and the issue was resolved. The line was left off overnight.
