Five women were struck by a passenger vehicle in Columbia Heights on Wednesday morning while waiting on line to get food, police said.
Police were dispatched to the incident, in the 2900 block of 14th Street NW, shortly after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle struck five women in an alleyway in the rear of the block, police spokesman Officer Araz Alali said.
The women were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver remained at the scene.
