Student’s uncle charged in teacher’s abduction

The 25-year-old uncle of a Wilson High School student has been accused of helping his nephew abduct one of his teachers in Adams Morgan and then robbing her.

Jeremiah Juwley was arrested late Monday on assault and abduction charges, two days after police say he and his 15-year-old nephew abducted the 30-year-old teacher.

After forcing the teacher into a car, the pair allegedly made her drive into Montgomery County where they forced her to withdraw large amounts of cash from an automated teller machine, Montgomery County police said.

According to court documents, Juwley then made his nephew get out of the car and made the woman drive to an area near his Silver Spring home, where he tried to rape her. The teacher was able to fight Juwley off and escape.

The nephew reportedly was taken into custody earlier in connection with the case.
